Welcome to the 2024 season. We expect to have a full field of golfers for our first tournament of the year at the Home Course in Dupont on Wednesday, April 10th. The tournament will open for signups on Mar 31st at noon just as in the past. Tee times will start on Hole # 1 at 7:00 am with 10minute intervals.

 

The format will be a 2 Person Scramble, with Players playing either from the WHITE TEES or GOLD TEES based on their handicap, age, and gender as per our rule of “85”.

   

The Green fees are $65 riding, the walking rate will be $47. A

$10 trail fee will be charged if you have your own cart. A range token will be included.

 

No more than 2 golf carts per foursome.

  

The restaurant will be open at 11am and the walkup window will open at 7am, there will be a refreshment cart person throughout the day.

 

Be sure to thank Dan Erkkinen and the staff at The Home Course, for hosting the tournament.

Canterwood is a very popular tournament and we expect to fill all available tee times with members, so no guests are allowed for this tournament.

 

This will be a 2-Person Scramble.

 

 

The SNACK BAR will be OPEN, but NOT the restaurant.

No Beverage Cart.

 

The rates will $70 with cart including tax.

Walkers will be $60 with tax included.

At this time, NO prizes will be given for KP's, however, we will acknowledge the golfer for his/her accomplishment on the RESULTS.

The walking rate will be $50; with cart will be $62; there will be a $10 trail if you bring your own cart; and, range balls will cost $5.50.  All rates include tax.  We will tee off at 10-minute intervals starting at 7:30am.  Alderbrook now has 50 carts so depending upon how many golfers sign up, we should not need a break, as we did last year.  There will be a beverage cart with drinks, snacks & sandwiches, but we are not sure whether the restaurant will be open or not.  There will be 4 KP prizes consisting of 1 round with cart each.  The time stamp machine will be in play so please stamp the back of your card as soon as to complete the round.  You can check scores after that.  We're looking forward to seeing you at Alderbrook and hope you bring good weather with you!

Sign-ups for the Gold Mountain – OLYMPIC COURSE - 2 Person Best Ball will open this coming SUNDAY, May 5, at noon.

 

The Olympic Course has hosted two USGA National Championships (2006 Public Links, 2011 Junior Amateur) and numerous college tournaments and invitationals. Just this past month it hosted both the Women's and Men's West Coast Conference Golf Championships.

 

Our tournament will be Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

 

The field will be open to 160 players  (40 tee times), starting at 7:33 am with 9 minute intervals. You will be able to sign up your playing partner or one guest (using the “GUEST” placeholder option). As always, you can also use the “NEED” or “HOLD” options to reserve the tee slot next to yours if you need a partner or are working on finding one yourself, respectively..

 

2 golf carts per foursome will be available.

 

The green fees will be $60/w cart. There will be no discount if you choose to walk the course.

 

There will be a KP for each flight and one KP for the entire field.

 

We will be playing from the White (“Player”) tees and from the Yellow (“Scoring”) tees based on your profile.

 

Pace of Play expectation is 4.5 hours. That is an average of 15 minutes per hole, or four holes per hour. While there will be course marshals to monitor the pace of play and keep the field moving, it is also each golfer’s individual responsibility to play ready golf and keep your group moving along in a timely fashion. As the saying goes, your position should be directly behind the group in front of you, not directly in front of the group behind you!

 

The restaurant will be opening at 11:00 a.m. should you wish to have a beverage or lunch after your round. The snack shack located at the driving range will be open at 8:00.

Pace of play is critical! Here are some universally accepted criteria for playing with an appropriate pace:

 

Keep up with the group in front of you
Your correct position on the course is immediately behind the group in front of you, not immediately in front of the group behind you. 

 

Be efficient on the putting green
Pick your ball as quickly as possible and Mark it. You can usually line up your putt while others are putting, without disturbing them.

Leave your clubs on the side of the putting green closest to the next tee, and leave the green promptly after holing out.

Wait until the next tee to record your score. Sitting in a cart off the green entering scores prevents the group behind you from hitting.

 

Aim to play in 20 seconds
From club selection to pre-shot routine to execution, strive to hit your shot in 20 seconds when it is your turn to play. Help keep play moving at a brisk pace.

 

Cart Protocol: If you and your partner are sharing a cart, go to the player's ball that would be hitting next and drop that payer off with his club(s), while the partner player then takes the cart to his ball. Please do not wait at a single ball as a twosome and then proceed as a twosome to the next ball to be hit.

Dear Members,

 

This event will be a 27 hole, three format event. The South Course will be a Best Ball, the East Course will be a Scramble and the West Course will be an Alternate Shot. Starting time will be a shotgun at 9 am. It will be riding only and the fee for 27 holes will be $65.  Back tees are White and Forward tees are Silver. Range balls are included on a grass range. KP prizes are 2 rounds with a cart. The restaurant will be open. Each team will use the Newaukum three course scorecard and, of course, exchange with the other team. Pace of Play is important due to the length of the event. There will not be a time clock since it is a shotgunbut signing your scorecard is very important

We are allowing Guests but they will be signed up in our usual fashion.

 

They have fifty golf carts, which should be enough, but we encourage walkers!

 

For anyone wanting to travel the day before there are several hotels/motels in Sequim with prices ranging from $90 to as much as you want to pay.

We will have split tee times as we did last year (7:54 – 10:18; 12:06 – 1:45) with a walking rate of $42 and a riding rate of $58.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE WALKING TEE TIMES THE WHOLE FOURSOME MUST BE WALKERS

 

 

The course has a new driving range with floating balls, using the water feature off the first fairway of Generation I. We will be getting a discounted range ball rate of $4 for a Small bucket and $8 for a Medium bucket.

 

The course is donating 4 KP prizes of a round for 2 with cart.

 

The food/snack bar located in the pro shop will be open at 6:45, and there will be a beverage cart circulating during our rounds.
